About Laura Peterson
Laura Peterson is the Senior Analyst for the Union of Concerned Scientists’ Climate Accountability Campaign, which works to hold the major oil and gas companies legally, financially, and reputationally responsible for their climate-related harms. Laura oversees corporate research, conducts targeted policy analysis and advocacy efforts, and engages with investors, media, and academia. She has an extensive background in investigative journalism and strategic research having served as a staff member to the US Senate’s main oversight committee, a policy analyst for several Washington watchdog groups, and a journalist within the US and overseas.
