About Session

While shareholder proposals are a cost-effective mechanism for holding corporate management accountable and communicating collective shareholder views to the board, the proxy process faces an array of attacks, which are likely to constrain its use, at least in the near term. Previous ICCR conference sessions have offered an overview of a variety of alternative engagement tactics; now it’s time to roll up our shirtsleeves and get some practical, hands-on experience in using one of them. In this 75-minute session we’ll witness some role play from a small team of members modeling what can go right (or wrong!) during a ‘vote no’ campaign, followed by small breakouts where you will have a chance to plan a campaign alongside other members.
