About Session

Panel discussion with investors (asset owners and managers) involved in creating Guiding Principles on Collective Bargaining: An Investor Perspective, a document to inform investors’ engagement on the topic. With high levels of union organizing leading to collective bargaining processes across sectors, company commitments to international labor rights and a changing U.S. regulatory landscape, there is the need for institutional investors to learn more about what collective bargaining can and should be like for companies and workers so that they may better understand risks in their portfolios. The panel will feature practitioners including Starbucks Workers United members who are currently in a long process to achieve a first collective bargaining agreement with their employer.
