Mullissa Willette serves as President of SEIU Local 521, representing over 50,000 public sector, nonprofit, and childcare workers across California’s Silicon Valley and Central Valley. She is also an elected member of the CalPERS Board of Administration, where she advances sustainable investment practices and financial justice on behalf of nearly two million members. With a focus on workers’ capital, racial equity, and a just transition, Mullissa brings both grassroots union leadership and fiduciary stewardship to her advocacy, ensuring that retirement security and responsible investment align with the long-term interests of workers and communities.
